Up North: Take Two

We enjoyed our trip up north so much a few months ago, we headed back there last week (it didn't hurt that they were running a great deal on rates either!). Once again, we had a great time. We had fun taking a break from our daily routine and spending time together as a family. Since Banany will be in kindergarten next year, we figured this might be our last chance to vacation during the week in the middle of September!

Banany diggin' her sticky smore!

Banany and Dad walking along a path to a lighthouse. It was actually a little scary in spots....with water and rocks on both sides of our elevated narrow path!

Meatball and Dad on a little hike to a nearby river.

Dad, not to be outdone by the kids, had to throw rocks into the river too.

The lodge built a fire for us and had smore fixins out.

The kids goofing around during picture taking.

Meatball could have thrown rocks into the lake all day long.

Posing for pictures didn't work out so well.

Sweet girl.

More pictures of our trip coming soon!

Next year when we both have school kids, maybe we need to plan an MEA trip up north!

looks super fun! I miss the water so much...

It's so nice to live somewhere where gorgeous places aren't terribly far away
