My sister, a teacher, had some spare desks in her classroom and offered to let us keep them at our house for the school year. We've since moved them to the basement, but initially put them in the family room where the kids were sitting at them a lot. They each filled the inisdes with their favorite things...books, of course, cars, lotion, markers, Barbies, random toys, or things that mom needs and can't find.

Mostly, they like to read books or color while they sit there...with the occasional lotion application. You know how dry school air can be.

It kind of makes me feel like Miss Beadle on Little House on the Prairie, minus the corset.

Naturally, we need to make a few faces.

Have I mentioned she's a fan of the large cat family?

I love when they both sit at their desks and read. So cute.
