We decided to give it a try, got the tickets, and today was the day. We've had a busy few days, along with pink eye, but fortunately, we were set and non-contagious to go to the show. The kids were excited, but didn't really know quite what to expect, not having been to a skating show before.
However, once it started, Banany's reaction to everything was worth every cent we spent on tickets. Even the extra $20 or so they charge in fees and handling. Rip! Anyways...she gave an audible gasp at each character change. Her face was pure joy for 2 hours and 15 minutes today.
And being the little brother, Meaty is often subject to watching whatever movie Bananz picks, so he's gotten to know the princesses too. They did a good job of throwing some dudes in the show too, though, so I think he could relate, and my constantly moving 3-year old was more or less still for the entire show.
Totally fun family time. What a treat.
Before the show, being tortured by all the vendors walking around with light up doo-dads, cotton candy, princess slushies, buckets of princess popcorn...she wanted them all.Sorry honey, would you like a pb & j out of the bag?

Not the best shot, but J and my favorite part was the Little Mermaid stuff...fun, flowy costumes and the whole thing was supposed to look underwater.

Well done J and Viv...that is something Banany and Meaty will remember...probably more for B. Was J singing all the songs from Lil Mermaid? He did that a lot in college :)
We went to the Nemo On Ice last year--or was it the year before??? We had a lot of fun, but I agree about the trinkets being sold. The treats, too. I remember laughing hard, thinking, "Who would pay $20 for a twirling glow sitck?" And then I saw how many kids were walking around with them, so apparently people do. Glad you had a fun family day. :)
