"Mom and I are really proud of you, son."

The suburb we live in is relatively small compared to the surrounding suburbs, and still does some "small-town" events. This week, the annual fair type thing is going on...J will be running a race on Saturday, they'll have rides with the stereotypical carneys running them, a kiddie parade, pony rides...oh, and live music.

This picture was in the local paper this week, advertising for the Father/Son Elvis impersonators who be part of this year's festivities. J got a kick out of seeing this picture since he and his buddies always try to catch an Elvis show when they head north to a cabin each year. At one point yesterday, he said, "I just can't stop thinking about that picture."

These are real people. They're not playing a joke on someone. I guess a lot of little boys do want to grow up to be just like their dads.
