You'd think that the first set of stitches would go to one of the boys, whose ages range from two to eight and who are all generally bigger daredevils than the Bananz. However, she beat the odds and was the first one to head to urgent care with the open wound (I'm sending her today to buy a lottery ticket.).
She somehow tripped just right over her scooter on Saturday night and put a nice little hole in her shin. J whisked her off to urgent care, and like a champ, she got two stitches. She's milking the injury a little bit, but is also quite pleased that it looks like a caterpillar. She's had fun letting the boy cousins and the neighborhood boys ooh and ahh over her sewn up leg. It's a bummer the stitches will be taken out in just one short week.

That's a crazy place to get stitches... usually they're on the forehead or hand. Leave it to Banany to go for the unprecedented. I'm glad she's ok, though. Did you survive the blood? I know it makes you woozy.
ooooh those scooters. So fun but yuck! Torrey still gets her veneer on her 1/2 tooth fixed about twice a year due to that dumb thing....
Speaking of T, did you hear she crashed her bike and messed up her wrist? We'll find out tomorrow if it's broken. She's got a hard splint on it right now-too swollen in the x-ray to see a fracture. May be done with swim team this summer :( I had signed her up for a tennis class this week too. Sad....

So funny that when I went to see her and asked what was new, she didn't even think to mention the stitches.
