Last winter the fuzzy, snaggly little rascals killed our favorite little cherry blossom tree by stripping the bark off. They've slowly been destroying our purple sandcherry shrubs over the past few years because those don't bounce back very well. Each year, they eat our a few of our spirea down to a few sticks. It's beyond frustrating. We've tried sprays on the shrubs, taping the bottom of our young trees. We haven't put burlap over everything or tried to do a mesh wire fence...maybe that's our next step. Ugh....
J thinks a bb gun would solve all of our problems. That, and make him look like a raving lunatic to the neighbors. He spotted a rabbit outside the other day and took a large metal stake and went chasing after it. No, he didn't look crazy at all. Did the get the rabbit?
Of course not.
